The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is the body of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in the United States. Headed by the Archbishop of America, seated in New York, it is organised into the Direct Archdiocesan District and the Metropolises of Chicago, Boston, Denver, Atlanta, Detroit, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and New Jersey — an intermediate tier between the Patriarchate and the local communities. It follows the New (Revised Julian) Calendar.
