The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa is one of the four ancient apostolic patriarchates of the undivided Church, traditionally founded by the Evangelist St Mark. Its primate is uniquely styled Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, seated in Alexandria, and shepherds the Orthodox faithful across the African continent. It follows the New (Revised Julian) Calendar. In 2019 it recognised the autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, after which the Moscow Patriarchate severed communion with it.
