The Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania had its autocephaly recognised by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in 1937. Suppressed under the atheist state from 1967, it was rebuilt from 1991 under Archbishop Anastasios. Its primate is the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania. It follows the New (Revised Julian) Calendar.
